Internal Medicine & Surgery Patients
Medical Records
It is important that our doctors have access to your pet’s previous medical records from your primary veterinarian. These records contain information such as previous weights and medications, as well as:
- Documented medical history
- Lab tests
- X-rays
Contact our reception team for help obtaining your pet’s medical records in advance. We are here to help every step of the way.
Fast Your Pet
Many of the diagnostic procedures your pet has been referred for require sedation or anesthesia. Please be sure not to feed your pet for about 8-12 hours prior to your appointment. Offering small amounts of water a few hours before your appointment is OK. If your pet is scheduled for an endoscope or surgery please contact our staff to help you with specific details. Fasting information is pertinent to the success of scheduling surgery and endoscopy procedures.
Medications
Please bring along any medications you have been giving your pet at home, if at all possible. We will continue to use them while your pet is in our care.
We May Need Urine
Try to prevent your pet from urinating just prior to coming in. This is an important part of diagnostic testing.
Behavior Patients
Please visit our Veterinary Behavior Specialists’ website for important information about your upcoming appointment.
